Pause was built by one adult woman with leftist politics who has a hard time controlling her purchase impulses. This app is my self-help. Hope this helps, if you are on the same boat.

Q: Is this a budgeting app?
A: No. Pause doesn't track your bank account or manage your money. It tracks your impulses. What you do with that information is up to you.
Q: Do you sell my data?
A: Absolutely not. I actually don't know how to do that. I mean, I can find out, but I'm not interested in doing that. Leftist, remember?
Q: Will this make me stop buying things?
A: Pause won't stop you from buying anything. It gives you a breather to ask yourself: “Is this actually me wanting this, or is it them?” What you do with that pause is your choice.
Q: Why “Pause”?
A: Because the system wants you to buy now. The impulse, the urgency, the FOMO—designed to eliminate thinking time. Pause gives you that time back.
